Dr. Andrea Hernandez

Medical Director

Dr. Andrea Hernandez joined Greenbrook TMS in June 2018 as Medical Director at our Chapel Hill Center. Dr. Hernandez completed her residency training at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and received her medical degree from Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Centro America in San Jose, Costa Rica. Since then she has worked with adults with a wide variety of mental health and substance misuse conditions. She has served patients from North Carolina in many settings: at community mental health clinics in Wilson and Rocky Mount, through telemedicine services at Ocracoke Island, and as attending physician at Vidant Medical Center, Central Regional Hospital, and Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was also an assistant professor at East Carolina University and chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
