Dr. Kathleen Svala

Psychiatrist

Dr. Svala joined Greenbrook in 2022.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rochester with majors in biology and psychology.  She earned her medical degree at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed a psychiatry residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Medical Center.  During her fourth year of psychiatry residency, she served as chief resident.  She completed fellowship training programs in both Addiction Psychiatry and Community Psychiatry at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Medical Center.  Dr. Svala has experience working in addiction psychiatry, consult-liaison psychiatry, community psychiatry, as well as private practice.  She is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  Dr. Svala practices TMS at our Westlake and Independence Centers.
