Dr. Laura Worrel

Psychiatrist

Dr. Laura Worrel joined Greenbrook TMS in November 2024.  Dr. Worrel grew up in Ohio and ventured south to complete her B.A. in Biology from the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!) in Charlottesville, Virginia.  She earned her medical degree from the Mayo Medical School (now called the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine) in Rochester, Minnesota.  She completed her psychiatric residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Dr. Worrel was in private practice for many years in the Richmond, Virginia area treating both outpatients and medical inpatients with mental health concerns.  She has also enjoyed treating college students at the University of Richmond.  Throughout her career, Dr. Worrel has always believed in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.  She loves working as a team with other mental health providers as well as integrating healthy lifestyle changes and therapies like TMS into her treatment plan to best help her patients. Dr. Worrel completed the Clinical TMS Society’s International Certification Course (PULSES).  She is excited to be a part of the Greenbrook TMS team and to be providing TMS therapy to patients in the Richmond area.
